Hey, everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2007 Jeep Commander, I'm gonna walk you how to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with removable tabs. This is what our base plate is gonna look like when it's installed. This is gonna connect to, or be adaptable for Blue Ox tow bars, as well as Roadmaster tow bars with separate adapters. Those separate adapters for the Roadmaster Tow Bars you can find here at etrailer. To remove your tab, just simply pull the ring, twist the tab, slide it out, and put it in the storage department. more

Today on our 2010 Jeep Commander we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms as a part of our flat tow setup.There are five main components to our flat tow setup for the 2010 Jeep Commander. You have your base plate, you have your diode wiring kit, you have your braking system, your tow bar and your safety cables.Here we have the Roadmaster XL base plate. This is going to be one of four base plate options for the 2010 Jeep Commander. The base plate is going to mount to the front of your Jeep and it's going to give you a solid mounting point or solid connection point between your RV and your Jeep to flat tow it. You just want to make sure whichever base plate you choose, your tow bar is going to work with that base plate. Roadmaster Base Plate Installation - 2006 Jeep Commander

Today on 2006 Jeep Commander, we're going to install a base plate kit from Roadmaster, product number RM-1427-1. The first thing we're going to do is go ahead and open up the hood and remove six plastic fasteners across the top and the grill. To remove the grill, we simply pull up in the center. You may pick up on the side a little bit and it unsnaps. Now, we're going to remove the four fasteners that connect the bumper, cover, to the core support. Alright, we'll remove the tubes, bolts attaching the fascia to the radiator support. more
